A successful, well known business based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team.

A successful, well known business based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team. This position will involve business partnering with FP&A teams across the business to create budgets and forecasts as well as delivering performance insight.

  • To ensure robust daily, weekly and monthly reporting is provided with relevant insight into performance across the business
  • Deliver insight into the sales and margin performance of the business through working closely with the Finance Business Partners
  • Creation of the monthly review packs on sales and margin performance
  • Consolidation of the forward looking rolling forecasts including submission to the Group
  • Facilitate and support the production of standardised reporting suites for Business Partnering teams to drive productive action / improved business performance
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve the reporting and forecasting processes across a range of business areas
  • To own the sales and margin budgeting process, working alongside the Business Partners in challenging the teams to achieve an acceptable plan. Also to provide onward communication of the budget including key drivers of YOY variances to the FP&A and group finance teams
  • To own and drive the delivery of period-end results to the agreed deadlines and standards - Ensuring that the results are communicated in a timely and accurate way with a clear articulation of the drivers of performance and impacts
  • Support the delivery of Finance improvement initiatives and implementation of internal & external best practices

Candidate Profile:
  • Preferably qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy body
  • Experience of working with and presenting analytical results to Non-Finance users
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Proven experience of working with large volumes of data and quickly identifying key trends
  • Good inter-personal skills, an empathetic nature and a good sense of humour
  • Enthusiastic, positive and proactive engagement of key Finance and non-Finance stakeholders (e.g. business partner teams)
  • Experience in a large company environment
