Reed Accountancy are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller on behalf of an established client based in Chelmsford City Centre. This position is mainly to work as part of the Credit Control function ensuring efficient and timely collection of Company debts. The maintenance of the Company customer account base including liaising with customers & sales team with a real focus on customer service and relationships.

Duties will include:
  • Aged debt monitoring
  • Collecting and processing customer payments
  • Customer/Sales team liaison
  • Ongoing monitoring of customer credit
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Dealing with account queries & incoming telephone calls
  • Implementing and monitoring special payment arrangements
  • Monitoring bad/doubtful debts
  • Ensuring customer details are maintained on system (Credit Cards/Account details etc.)
  • Issuing monthly account statements
  • Chasing overdue payments via telephone/email/letter etc
  • Providing cover and assistance to colleagues.

Requirements:
  • Must have Credit Control experience
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative
  • Must be confident in their abilities
