Secondary SEN Teacher Secondary SEN Teacher required for a school based in the Wirral. Your new company You will be working for secondary school in the Liverpool area. Who are looking for an experienced and qualified SEN teacher to work with pupils aged 11-16 with special education needs. Your new role This role is to support identified pupils on a 1:1 basis and work as part of an established SEN department to ensure a positive and motivated learning environment. The role will include tasks such as: * Planning and delivering of engaging lessons. * Assessment of pupils. * Report writing. * Direction of teaching assistants/learning support * Attendance at parents' evening and other meeting as required. * Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role as a secondary SEN Teacher you must have the following * Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. * Dealing with pupils with challenging behaviour. * Dealing with pupils with communication, social and learning difficulties. * Experience working with young people with SEN is essential and relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
