Service Desk Analyst (1st/2nd Line)

A fantastic opportunity in London or Banbury has arisen for a Service Desk Analyst with experience of delivering on multiple IT projects, to work within a high profile IT client. This exciting service Desk Analyst opportunity is open to an individual that is looking for a long term / permanent opportunity working on various challenging projects.

Location: London or Banbury (travel between the sites required)

Duration: Permanent consultant (see below)

Interviews: ASAP

Start Date: ASAP (can wait for notice periods)

Responsibilities
  • Engaging supporting teams as needed for problem resolution
  • Ensuring problem tickets are handled timely and efficiently
  • Carrying out routine analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas within the operations function.
  • Participating in and contributes to the fulfillment of team or functional goals and objectives through assigned projects or involvement in phase(s) of larger enterprise projects
  • Acting as the interface with Business Technology team and other support partners on a routine basis to identify and resolve issues
  • Monitoring significant Change implementations - facilitating bridge line, engaging correct resources and reviewing implementation plans
  • Creating and updating Issue Logs
  • Driving process improvement based on changes/initiatives
  • Managing multiple moderately complex tasks concurrently.

Skills/Experience
  • Proven Experience in a similar Role
  • Insurance/Financial Services experience desirable
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and follow up
  • Ability to coordinate troubleshooting activities across multiple groups to ensure rapid problem resolution and recovery
  • Experience and understanding of Networks, Windows Server and Unix/Linux
  • Incident management experience using service management tools
  • Strong oral and written skills
