Due to expansion we have a great opportunity for a Finance Team Leader within one of our customer Helpdesks. We're looking for someone with experience in sales ledger, to manage the sales ledger of a £40m portfolio. You will undertake day to day management of the sales ledger with a highly organised approach to raising invoices and a targeted approach to cash collection.

As part of a wider Management Team you will be working alongside the field based managers and Helpdesk eam by providing them with management information and direction to maintain a healthy sales ledger.

You'll be organised, focused with the ability to drive results, and supported by a team of Finance Administrators will be responsible for the following:
  • Producing invoices in accordance to the billing schedule
  • Maintaining contract values and billing addresses within all systems to ensure invoicing accuracy
  • Keep a register of purchase orders and proactively chasing any that are missing or due to expire
  • Participate in internal finance reviews
  • Be a point of contact for any customer billing enquiries
  • Attend finance reviews with the client
  • Produce various reports throughout the month
  • Provide quotations for services
  • Work with the Credit Control team to monitor cash collection, identify any concerns and take action

As part of the wider Helpdesk team you will be a point of contact and escalation for all Finance and Commercial requests from the operational teams and customer network. You'll have previous experience within a finance and team leader role and be confident working in a fast paced, varied environment, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Essential skills:
  • An excellent level of IT literacy with proven experience of managing high-volume Excel data
  • Strong purchase ledger experience
  • Ability to prioritise tasks whilst driving the effectiveness of the team
  • An excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills (oral and written)
  • Customer service oriented with focus on success
  • People person with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Effective problem solving & organisational skills
