We're in a period of unprecedented innovation in the automotive industry as we move away from conventional powertrains towards hybrid and eventually fully electric vehicles. We want you to join us on this journey. With your knowledge and experience of eMotor design & production and your passion for electric drive technology, you'll be fully supported in developing your expertise in this valuable and sought-after field of engineering by a large team of highly qualified, experienced engineers and managers.

It's a highly demanding part of our business due to it being the focus of our Track25 business plan. You'll be designing, engineering and delivering motor systems and high voltage sub-systems from start to finish. You'll be contributing to our technology roadmap which will involve specifications, DVPs, DFMEAs and design releases. This will be your system to own, so you'll be tasked with successfully delivering this system, managing the associated suppliers and juggling delivery of multiple programmes currently underway at McLaren Automotive.

McLaren Automotive is committed to being at the forefront of innovation, development, and investment over the next decade, and it's our goal to produce an EV hyper-car by the end of the 2020s. To make this goal a reality, we're rapidly growing our Electric Drive team, based between Woking and Sheffield.

Working alongside some of the best Engineers in the Hybrid and Electric Drive industry and leveraging our unique alliances with industry partners and research institutions, we can help you to rapidly develop your career. The team is around 30 strong currently, and we're expecting this to grow to over 70 in the next couple of years. And this growth means opportunity for you: opportunity for progression; to take on new challenges; and learn novel areas of technology as you help McLaren to innovate.

We need you to be an experienced Engineer with a good understanding of eMotor design, test and production, as well as an understanding of embedded systems like motor control units. Experience with switchgear design, circuit layout and schematics, and HiL testing is also useful.
