Accounts Assistant Job Description

Looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a small distribution business in Wymondham to provide 10 months maternity cover. The role will encompass all aspects of bookkeeping / accounts. 12 Hours per week. Days and hours to be discussed. £18,500 - £20,000 pro rata.

Emphasis on Sales and Purchase Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Processing Customer and Supplier Invoices and Credit Notes ensuring that invoices are paid in compliance with the agreed terms and conditions.

Processing staff expenses

Preparing statements

Card payment processing

Filing

Archiving

Dealing with emails / telephone calls in a professional manner

Good working knowledge of Sage 200 accounting package but not essential

Excellent communication skills, administration skills, able to work well in a team and under one's own initiative.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Previous experience of working within an accounts team

-Experience working with Microsoft Office Packages

-Experience working with Sage 200.

-Excellent organisational and administrative skills

-A sense of humour

-From time to time and where required working within the administration team to cover staff absence, process orders and deliveries.
