Quality Engineer

Job Summary

The main purpose of this job is

Main Duties

• Responsible for all Quality related activity regarding Billet and Bar products

• Customer Audits associated with the product line

• NADCAP Heat Treatment - All Production Areas (facilitation and get involvement from people in functional areas).

• Implement improvements to controls and maintain compliance.

• Specification review associated with customer requirements

• Writing and Review of procedures.

• Establish effective processes that ensure compliance

• PSR / 8D / CEDAC / Corrective & Preventive actions / Error proofing

• NPI and all associated quality activity

• Zero defect initiative - raw material: PPAP, FMEA Control plans

• Internal audits, process audits

• Customer complaints resolution

• Data driven continuous improvement

• Support for in-process and final Inspection

• Supplier selection, approval & monitoring

• Management of change & Risk Assessments

• Responsibility for quality record archiving

• Customer liaison including presentations

• Aerospace Customer annual performance review

• Responsibility for process equipment approval & metrology

Product identification & quality awareness training

Demonstrable Experience of:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.

• Company, products, objectives and operations.

• Quality systems and technical specifications

• Successfully balancing multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

• Working independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.

• Ability to analyse and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely through the implementation of long-term solutions.
