We have a great opportunity for an Engineering Manager with experience working on high tier COMAH manufacturing sites.

We're currently working with an industry-leading manufacturer based in Broadstairs with exciting plans for future expansion.

They're on the hunt for someone who will lead and implement an engineering strategy to provide continual incentives to the site's growth and operational efficiency.

With a focus on H&S, Compliance and Quality, this role is vital to the Operations team and oversees 5 direct reports.

  • Lead the engineering function to ensure legal compliance is appropriately interpreted
  • Control and develop a modern planned preventative maintenance system focused on delivering a high-quality service
  • Diagnosis of running faults and breakdowns using 'root cause' analysis tools
  • To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work
  • Lead CAPEX projects and major installation/improvement works.
  • Control plant maintenance, spares and consumable costs in line with budget
  • Share Site Main Controller responsibilities and provide leadership and HSE expertise when responding to a site emergency

As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the following management systems:
  • Legionella - Site Duty Holder
  • COMAH - Site Duty Holder
  • Control of Contractors
  • Permit to work systems
  • Calibration
  • PAT Testing
  • Lock out-Tag out procedure
  • ADT Fire Alarm system
  • LEV inspection

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working within a COMAH manufacturing site is vital
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Process engineering
  • Demonstrable record of developing and enabling an engineering strategy
  • In depth understanding of H&S regulation and compliance
  • Critically review and monitor KPI's and recommend action to Senior Management
