We are in the process of undertaking a significant digital transformation that will have a positive affect for all our customers, both at home and across the world. We are therefore, looking for a highly experienced Digital Delivery Manager to lead the Digital Delivery department and be accountable for the completion of all deliverables on all digital marketing projects, including web and software devolpment by managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team (both internal & external) including developers, testers, designers and the business areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As a senior member of the team engage across the organisation with business leaders to gain buy-in on prioritisation, with agreement on the key performance metrics which will be impacted.
  • Be responsible for capturing and analysing development requirements ensuring that they are captured, maintained, tracked and that they validated and understood by all.
  • You will ensure the project management requirements for the department are established and maintained by making sure there are clear, financial, development and resource plans are documented, dependencies are mapped between development requirements, project briefs and business cases are maintained.
  • You will ensure that resource allocation and forecasting is in place as well as ensure that you team have appropriate processes and plans in place in order to delivery on requirements.
  • Be responsible for the digital delivery architecture, working with your technical leads to ensure the systems and solutions you develop are flexible, loosely coupled and deliver performance that is appropriate for business needs.
  • You will ensure an efficient software methodology is in place, aligned to agile / lean principles, learning and iterating frequently, highly collaborative and regularly improved.
  • You will align to the DevOps principles and toolsets being established with high degrees of automation throughout the development process. Continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring are baseline goals.
  • You will measure and monitor the solutions your team develops, regularly reviewing operational metrics to validate the effectiveness of your product in meeting customer needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field of study is essential.
  • Significant experience in managing and delivering through a digital delivery function is essential.
  • Significant experience in project delivery and methodologies with a track record of delivery is essential.
  • Experience in working with and presenting to Executive level is essential.
  • Comfortable in delivering through external partners across all digital delivery functions.
  • Knowledge of modern front and back-end development languages, including ASP.NET C#, MVC, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript libraries.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing web applications that are optimised for mobile use
  • In-depth knowledge of security development practices.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Azure platform, including deployment processes, application insights and configuration.
  • Knowledge of developing to meet WCAG accessibility requirements.
  • Experience of developing for EpiServer e-commerce is desirable.
