The Role:

This role will be accountable for the leading the Digital Delivery department, accountable for the completion of all deliverables on all digital marketing projects, including web and software devlopemtn by managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team (both internal & external) including developers, testers, designers and the business areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for developing, owning and driving the digital delivery roadmap, working with the relevant business leaders to prioritise a backlog and translate this into user stories over time.
  • As a senior member of the team engage across the organisation with business leaders to gain buy-in on prioritisation, with agreement on the key performance metrics which will be impacted.
  • Responsible for capturing and analysing development requirements ensuring that they are captured, maintained, tracked and that they validated and understood by all.
  • Ensure the project management requirements for the department are established and maintained by making sure there are clear, financial, development and resource plans are documented, dependancies are mapped between development requirements, project briefs and business cases are maintained.
  • Ensure that resource allocation and forecasting is in place as well as ensure that you team have appropriate processes and plans in place in order to delivery on requirements.
  • Responsible for the digital delivery architecture, working with your technical leads to ensure the systems and solutions you develop are flexible, loosely coupled and deliver performance that is appropriate for business needs.
  • Ensure an efficient software methodology is in place, aligned to agile / lean principles, learning and iterating frequently, highly collaborative and regularly improved.
  • Align to the DevOps principles and toolsets being established with high degrees of automation throughout the development process. Continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring are baseline goals.
  • Measure and monitor the solutions your team develops, regularly reviewing operational metrics to validate the effectiveness of your product in meeting customer needs.
  • Work closely with the wider IT department ensuring transparency and clarity on deliverables, and improvement opportunities.
