Business Analyst / Financial Analyst - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded Corporate Finance Boutique who are looking to recruit a Business Analyst/M&A Analyst to join their growing team in West Berkshire. Known for providing Corporate Advisory and MBO/MBI solutions to a range of SME and multi-national clients, you will be working as a trusted adviser and contact point for clients, prospective acquirers and third party advisers. Helping to manage offers and negotiating successful sales of companies, key duties include:

• Providing advisory financial support for Sales pitches
• Joining a business deal team at Sales pitches to explain your role and experience when required
• Leading detailed Financial/Accounting review meetings with clients to assess the performance of their business and forecast future performance
• Performing all key financial analysis from historic information, forecasts and budgets
• Identifying KPI's for clients' business/industry and benchmarking their performance against industry norms
• Undertaking PESTEL and SWOT analysis
• Evaluation of external consultant reports, producing and delivering presentations
• Analysing and assessing the quality of management information and suitability to support execution of due diligence
• Preparation of financial materials for inclusion in Information Memoranda and Management Presentations (Profit Plans)
• Ongoing support of the Deal Team and Senior/Lead Advisor for a corporate finance or capital raising transaction
• Assisting with the collation and review of financial due diligence materials

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a fully Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (or have equivalent work experience) with expertise in a Corporate M&A function, CF boutique, mid-large tier Accountancy Firm, PE house or Investment Banking group (or looking for your first position out of Audit). You should have knowledge of different valuation techniques, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, a sound in-depth knowledge of statutory accounts and an ability to interpret management information packs. With a positive attitude towards work and ability to manage your own workload, you should also have strong planning and organising skills, be adaptable with a versatile working style and be prepared to take responsibility from the outset
