Keen to capitalise on considerable new business opportunities, they are looking to appoint a Global Applications Developer to design, develop and support a variety of custom applications and tools for internal users across multiple users across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

The Role
Reporting to the IT Manager and Senior Global Applications Developer, you will assist the Global IT team in proving the wider business with responsive and efficient systems that meet user requirements whilst quickly resolving user problems.

Key tasks in this hands on role include:
  • System analysis work and recommending business process improvements
  • System development, testing, debugging, implementation and documentation
  • Prepare and run test data to ensure software is correct before installation
  • Provide user support


The Person
  • Ideally degree qualified or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
  • Software / Applications development experience gained within manufacturing - although other sectors also considered
  • Solid programming experience is MS SQL Server, T-SQL, writing stored procedures and user defined functions
  • C#./NET, ASP.NET
  • Javascript / HTML / CSS
  • XML / XSLT
  • Some exposure to Unix / Linux, ODBC connectivity, web services development skills
  • Experience of Salesforce / CRM systems highly beneficial along with any experience of ELO or document management and workflow systems, Cognos, ERP / QAD
