The Company:

An exciting opportunity is available for a proven Ecommerce Executive with a market leading online business. musicMagpie is a nationally advertised brand and the UK's number 1 recommerce business that deals with technology such as mobile phones and games consoles as well as products such as DVDs, Games, Headphones and Books. The business buys and sells products from consumers, with the majority of online sales being on their own 'musicMagpie Store'. They are also the biggest trader in the World on Amazon & eBay and the business has successfully replicated the format in the U.S through the brand 'Decluttr' and is growing rapidly. Their modern and welcoming Head Office is located just 9 minutes on the train from Central Manchester (Stockport City Centre) and this role is a perfect opportunity for the right candidate to build their career with an expanding business. The successful candidate will earn £25,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Ecommerce Executive working on the Store (so selling the product), your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Ownership and responsibility for product categories on the Store (E.g. Tech / Media)
• Managing product ranges and performance
• Developing and planning promotions and online sales activities
• Analysing data and developing action plans to improve performance
• Online merchandising (E.g. Banners, product rankings, search performance)
• Improving UX design of the site and monitoring site performance
• Liaising with internal Departments (E.g. Marketing) and working together to achieve objectives
• General store administration and reporting
• Working to KPI's

Key Skills/Experience:

• Ideally, minimum 2 year experience working in a similar role / on an Ecommerce website
• Be commercially savvy and have an awareness of how seasonal and key market events have an impact on online sales. E.g. Black Friday, Halloween, new iPhone launch
• To have previous proven experience working to sales targets where growth was achieved and sales targets were exceeded
• Strong analytical and numerical skills (E.g. percentages, multiplication, mental arithmetic) in order to produce sales reports and understand quickly KPIs
• IT literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (E.g. Pivot tables, Charts, Reports, Ideally Macros, Formulas such as SumIfs and Vlookups)
• Ideally, proficient in Google Analytics with an awareness of all key online reporting metrics
• To be skilled at product range management and development

The individual:

• To have a love of the Tech and media products we sell and an enthusiasm for Ecommerce and online sales
• Be a motivated self-starter who isn't afraid to get stuck in and do what is necessary to achieve Store sales targets and KPIs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of Departments and people.
• Strong organisation abilities with attention to detail and time management skills.
• A team player, happy to take the lead as and when needed
• Able to use own initiative as well as work within defined parameters
• Able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt easily to change of direction
• Excellent problem solving skills with a willingness to take ownership and ensure issues are resolved and performance is improved
• To love analysing data to find out and communicate the conclusions
