Internal IT Engineer - St Asaph

Our client has over 35 years' experience in the IT industry. Their enthusiastic and talented team of experts specialise in delivering managed ICT infrastructure solutions to many blue chip and local Government clients, that have trusted them with their technology needs over many years. Due to recent growth they are now looking for an experienced Internal IT Engineer to join their team.
  • Salary up to £24k + pension, healthcare and performance bonus
  • 1st and 2nd level support for 40 head office / home-based laptop users plus 70 site-based users across UK
  • Opportunities for ongoing development and training

What will you be doing?

Your day-to-day will include maintenance, management and running of the network, servers and Active Directory. You will produce and maintain documentation, procedures and best practices to support the ISO27001 ISMS. You will provide 1st and 2nd level support for 40 head office / home-based laptop users and additional 70 site-based users across UK, delivering excellent service in line with internal SLAs - including out of hours support as required.

You need to have..

An in-depth understanding of and experience in cloud and networks, with proven experience and / or qualifications in the following:
  • MCSE certification
  • VMWare ESX/ESXi VSphere virtualisation
  • CCNA
  • Veeam Availability Suite
  • Windows 7/10
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Active Directory
  • SQL and MySQL
  • SolarWinds Web Help Desk
  • Spiceworks
  • Office 365 Administration, Security and Compliance / Exchange / Teams / SharePoint / OneDrive
  • Skype for Business / Cloud PBX / AutoAttendants / Call Queues
  • SharePoint 2010 On Premise / SharePoint Online
  • SAN / NAS Storage

You'll also need..

  • Excellent customer service skills, including written and oral communication to be able to liaise with non-technical users
  • Proven experience in a networking/IT environment
  • The ability to work alone and within a small team
  • To be highly organized with ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and SLA's
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to effectively plan and prioritise multiple tasks and technically complicated rollouts
