Accounts receivable/Payroll Assistant - Immediate start

Eden Mobility Limited are a fast growing and exciting retail group that generates a £12M turnover, with 150 employees, we have multiple stores throughout the UK and we are currently recruiting for an Accounts receivable/Payroll Assistant, to be based at our HQ in Scunthorpe for an immediate start.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Accounts receivable

·Accurately processing sales receipts in compliance with financial policies and procedures from the Companies bank, Sage pay, credit card and Pay pal accounts

·Accurately matching receipts to customer account records

·Identify and take appropriate corrective action for errors and omissions identified during the receipt posting process

·Reconcile and maintain accounts receivable nominal ledger control accounts

·Processing nominal ledger journal entries for payments recorded on the Companies pay pal account and credit cards

·Align income with the correct nominal code structures for field sales

·Generating, monitoring and processing direct debit income through the Auddiss paperless system

Payroll Administration

·Preparation of the accurate and timely payment of all employees ensuring the appropriate statutory deductions are made through the computerized payroll system

·Providing employees with information in regard to payroll queries

·Processing payroll BACs payments

·Processing the payroll nominal journal

·Reconciling the payroll control accounts

·Day to administration of the Nest workplace pension scheme

Accounts Administration

·Assisting with Month end responsibilities

·Assisting in completion of monthly Management Accounts

·Supporting and assisting the Company Accountant

Key Skills:

·Must have worked in Accounts Receivable environment for at least 2 years preferably in a multi-site organisation

·Hands-on experience of Sage 200 packages

·Working knowledge of the Nest pension scheme

·Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

·Ability to process large volumes of accounting data timely and accurately with attention to detail

·Excel level 2

·Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

·Team player with a positive attitude to work

.40 + WPM

·Highly motivated and able to apply initiative to tasks with excellent communication skills

This role reports directly to the Company Accountant and will be a full time, permanent position, working Monday through to Friday with working hours of 9am - 5pm.

The successful candidate will receive 21 days paid annual leave per year, plus ALL bank holidays, with an incentive to earn extra holiday time.

The salary for this position is up to £20K, depending on experience, we also offer a company pension scheme.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and must possess a good sense of humour. This is a new role within the company.
