We have an opportunity for a Head of Communications to join our team based in Coventry on a full time, permanent basis, working a minimum of 37 hours per week (some of which will be unsocial). The post includes some travel, and overnight stops can be expected. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £45,728 per annum plus pension and excellent benefits.

As our Head of Communications, you will assist the Group in maintaining and developing a positive identity both externally and internally, to ensure its mission, vision and values is at the centre of this identity. You will act as a promoter of a consistent brand image and use all possible routes to develop a positive image which remains true to the Trust's values, mission and ethos. You will promote Christ as being at the core of the work and working methods of the Trust's outworking.

Responsibilities of our Head of Communications:
  • Develop and propose a Communication, Marketing and Events Strategic Approach and associated action plan
  • Implement this strategy by achieving External Communication, Internal Communication and promotion of Christian missional targets
  • Lead marketing, events and communications across the Group
  • Identify, plan, develop and maintain external relationships nationally
  • Develop a plan for and encourage local communication initiatives in support of project, programmes and the national interests of the Trust
  • Plan, forecast and manage spend in relation to external and internal communication responsibilities
  • Lead, plan and develop a regular set of events and opportunities to encourage the expression of the Christian faith within the Trust
  • Develop standards and procedures to ensure all internal and external communications activity is effective and meets Business Plan objectives.
