Howarth Morris have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a highly regarded, successful and rapidly expanding business in Warrington. This a fantastic opportunity for a bright and ambitious CIMA/ACCA studier, who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role is a minimum 12 month contract with a view to permanent.

Role Purpose

Supporting the Management Accountant ensuring the financial position of the group is reported both accurately and timely to the Executive Management Team and the Board, providing useful financial management information to assist the Group in the delivery of its Corporate Plan.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack to all budget holders inc detailed commentary highlighting areas of concern.
- Ensuring monthly financial planning and budget review meetings are held with all budget managers recommending remedial action required
- Develop, maintain and review systems relevant to the production of accurate financial management information.
- Manage designated balance sheet and P&L accounts ensuring monthly reconciliation of balances and analysis.
- Continually review processes for the service through effective consultation and partnership arrangements to achieve user expectations.
- Implement and maintain locally effective performance management systems to meet corporate and service area requirements, to achieve continuous service improvement and the development of a performance management cultures

Candidate Requirements

- Min AAT Qualified, CIMA or ACCA Part-qualified
- Excellent knowledge of finance systems and Excel skills (including formulas and data manipulation)
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Experience of bookkeeping to final accounts
- Understanding of VAT transactions and implications
