A review of the implications of EU Exit for the supply of medical devices and clinical consumables has identified the need to enhance our operations capability to assure continuity of supply of medical products, and support prompt resolution of potential major issues.
A full time Case Manager role has become available to facilitate case resolution in support of the national contingency plans that will assure the NHS has access to the products it needs, whatever the outcome of the EU negotiations.

The Case Manager will be responsible for leading the investigation and resolution of complex supply cases. This role will involve working with clinical experts, supply chain experts and other stakeholders to manage a case investigation team to identify and deliver supply solutions.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:
  • Responding promptly to new complex cases raised through the escalation process; managing case workload within the team
  • Monitoring case workload by observing and evaluating responses and resolution
  • Ensuring cases are maintained and up to date on the case management database
  • Ensuring an efficient case handoff is provided when required
  • Providing support and guidance to team in managing cases to prompt resolution
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to identify decisions which need escalated
  • Ensuring reporting deadlines are met by the team
Skills & Experience:
The individual will be a team player with excellent problem solving skills. They will maintain a delivery focus to ensure that the programme delivers on time and to the agreed plan. It is vital that the individual is accurate, works quickly, is resilient and understands how to work in a complex programme environment.
