Business Readiness Programme Manager

6-12 Month Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business readiness programme manager with a global aerospace and defence manufacturing organisation, based in the West Midlands area on an initial 6-month contract basis, very likely to extend.

The Business readiness programme manager is going to be responsible for ensuring the business is ready for transition in the way of targeting operating model and ways of working through leading the operating model and change management teams in defining and driving delivery of business readiness deliverables, against defined schedules and costs.

The Business readiness programme manager is required to have the following;
  • Extensive experience in defining and delivering the implementation of target operating models, including processes, organisational design, tools and technology and data
  • Extension experience leading change and transformation, ideally in a traditionally minded organisation with limited centralised change processes
  • Ability and experience in leading and coaching business leadership teams through change and transformation
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of delivering projects through standard, robust project and programme management tools and techniques

The Business readiness programme manager will be required to do the following;
  • Create and manage the target operating model and implementation plan
  • Define and drive the process and deliverables for the target operating model, gaining agreement on what's needed pre-transition, during transition etc.
  • Ensure definition and sign off for all target operating model deliverables
  • Guide the senior leadership team in the development and implementation of the target operating model, including process, operating structure, data and information, ensuring end to end consistency across all functions
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks and mitigating actions that could impair successful delivery of the project
  • Lead overall change management plan
  • Coordinate all other change management stakeholders within a change management plan
