We are recruiting for a role with excellent career opportunities and development potential in the top performing water and sewerage company in the UK - based in Bath. Serving 2.8 million customers across the south west of England, the business includes operations of engineering and construction, property development, waste management and renewable energy services.

Reporting to the cash and payments team leader, you will benefit from a varied and interesting role, providing an excellent insight and exposure across payments, credit control, banking and cash management activities.

The role will include, but not be limited to:
  • Ensuring sales and purchase invoices are correctly processed in a timely manner
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparing pay runs on a daily/weekly basis and any urgent payments as required
  • Effectively and promptly dealing with reminders, final demands, pre-legal or legal letters received
  • Proactively contacting customers, for prompt payment
  • Monitoring customer accounts and collecting payments for outstanding amounts by telephone, letter, fax and email
  • Bank account reconciliation

Experience, qualifications and skills required:
  • GCSE or equivalent, in English and Maths
  • Confident, assertive, flexible and self-motivated
  • Appreciate the importance and strengths of working within a team
