Senior Technical Engineer
£45,000 - £50,000 D.O.E

Our client, based in Enfield and having been successfully established since 2003, are a Managed Solutions Provider for the Education sector, who are in a current period of growth and are searching for their next recruit.

With over 100 staff and an annual group turnover of £70m, they partner with the world's leading technology manufacturers and hold a strong reputation for their solutions and innovations. The successful Senior Technical Engineer will be joining a renowned and rapidly growing firm.

What will the Senior Technical Engineer be responsible for?

A new role, established due to recent large growth in the business, the Senior Engineer will be a 3rd line resource.

* Tier 3 server support for Windows Server 2008 R2+ (Active Directory, Group Policy, File and Print Sharing, DNS, RDS, High Availability options)
* Microsoft Office 365 Support (Exchange Online, SharePoint, InTune, OneDrive for Business, PowerShell Online, Directory Sync and Identity Management)
* Network troubleshooting and diagnostics (TCP/IP v4, DHCP, DNS)
* Solution architecture/design
* Solution build and implementation
* VMWare vSphere (v5.5+) Administration
* Dealing with Customer and Infrastructure Alerts and Events impacting System
* BAU operations
* Assisting Tier 1/2 engineers in training and knowledge transfer
* Being part of the extended hours call rota
* Tier 3 desktop support for Windows 7/10 (Client Support in a managed environment, OS Troubleshooting, Client Software Support (ie, Microsoft Office Applications, Anti-Virus, SAGE Packages etc)

* Able to demonstrate ongoing interest to learn and understand new areas in the
* I.T. industry Experience in working at Tier 3 level within an Enterprise Windows
* Environment
* Ability to demonstrate solutions to customers when necessary
* Extensive knowledge of Autotask is required.
