Our client manufactures specialist, rotating, mechanical engineering equipment and is seeking an Export Sales Manager to look after exising customers and generate new business.

This is an exciting opportunity as it will draw on your extensive engineering and sales experience and will involve domestic and International travel. You will need to be a sales orientated, technical salesperson who is target driven and focused.

Region

Asia, Australasia, North America and South America (subject to discussion/change). In addition to the export role, the Southern part of the UK is included.

General Responsibilities
  • Maintain and nurture existing agents and customers
  • Identify and appoint new agents
  • Find new customers
  • Follow up existing and generate new enquiries
  • Increase turnover/market share
  • Raise Company profile
  • Carry out demonstrations
  • Commission equipment / train customers in basic operation and maintenance
  • Attend exhibitions
  • Extensive overseas travel. Typically 1 to 2 weeks duration, 6 to 8 times per year. Minimum 12 weeks per year
  • Factory based

Experience/Attributes
  • HNC/HND or a degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5 years proven track record in sales (preferably export) of capital equipment
  • 5 to 10 years' experience (engineering and/or sales) in pumps, engines, rotating or similar products
  • Hands on
  • Passion for the product being sold
  • Pro-active
  • Target driven
