Senior Product Manager

In particular, this person will help guide and prioritize the work for our data crawling and API partnerships engineering teams, and help develop our API go-to-market strategy. This is a high profile role within the company as data is the fuel that makes our insights engine go! In addition to supporting our largest and most innovative customers, this role offers the opportunity to work directly with the product and engineering teams at numerous data partners including Twitter, Reddit, and Tumblr.

You should feel as comfortable working with data scientists and UX leads as they do working directly with Fortune 100 clients and leading social network partners. They should also be adept evaluating API documentation, reviewing contracts with a product and implementation lens, discussing technical implementation details with engineers, evaluating the quality and value of new data sets, and explaining the roadmap to our Sales & Support teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy and prioritization for the data procurement & collection roadmap which drives the entire Brandwatch product portfolio
  • Conduct client research, market analysis and business validation to help influence product roadmap
  • Define and analyze product metrics that inform and drive iterative product evolution
  • Communicate, lead, and collaborate with positivity across teams from engineering and design to sales, marketing and finance
  • Understand the customer and serve as their advocate when making product decisions
  • Collaborate effectively with sales and customer success teams for enablement and feedback
  • Diligently seek out and understand new & existing bold and complementary products; synthesize their strategic & bold positioning as it relates to our current and future offerings

Requirements
  • 2-4+ years of shown experience of full product lifecycle execution in an agile development environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams that include engineering, design, sales, and marketing
  • Experience driving strategy for infrastructure products, data platforms or APIs as a product owner in a high growth environment
  • Working knowledge of web services, SaaS & cloud technologies and subscription model concepts
  • Passion for identifying and solving user problems by working directly with them
  • Positive, upbeat energy with ability to create fun working environment is a must!

Nice-to-Haves and Pluses
  • Practical experience testing API calls and manipulating large quantities of data
  • Experience leading vendor and partner relationships
  • Experience working in a distributed team environment (i.e working with team members in other time zones and countries)
  • Experience working with big data technologies, building scalable big data platforms, and working with data science teams and/or machine learning concepts
