From our headquarters in West Yorkshire we are revolutionising workplace safety by developing mechanical, electronic and software products and need a Mechanical & Industrial Design Project Manager to help take us to the next stage of our innovation strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Mechanical & Industrial Design you will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and documenting projects within the Mechanical & Industrial Design team.

How You Can Help Us

Work closely with the Head of Mechanical & Industrial Design to ensure our project strategy closely aligns with the strategic aims of the department and wider company.

Help lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, keeping them focused on agreed priorities.

Plan, manage and coordinate projects within the Mechanical & Industrial Design Team.

Design and implement a world-class process / framework for project management (we would like you to bring an Agile approach to our mechanical and industrial design projects).

Manage the expectations of key stakeholders across the team and wider business.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a project's process is transparent.

Help resource manage the development team.

Record and document project performance statistics so our performance can be tracked and used in future project and strategic planning.

Deliver projects on time and to budget.

What We Would Like You to Bring to Our Team

5+ years' experience in a project management role

Experience in creating processes, frameworks and structures

Experience in both Agile and traditional project management principles

Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies

Excellent communication skills which will include you being comfortable with presenting to large groups of people

Regulatory compliance experience

History of successfully managing projects, people and resources

An appreciation for mechanical engineering and industrial design

A can-do, we can achieve anything mindset

What We Think Success in This Role Looks Like

You will have successfully implemented a project management process and framework that can clearly demonstrate a project's status, progress and projected completion dates whilst providing instights and analysis on completed projects, so we can continuously improve our performance.
