Position Summary:

The position is responsible for collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and cleansing supply chain data in support of Procurement, Project Horizon and PLM integration initiatives. These activities include but are not limited to identification, cleansing, management and marshaling of data to be migrated to IFS and PLM, and may also (time permitting) also encompass cost-benefit analysis, commodity analysis, supplier performance management, corporate reporting, and other ad-hoc department analysis.


• Develop structured procurement database, enabling transparent useable base data for procurement analytics, with a policed methodology ensuring latest most accurate information is updated, and available. Ultimately leading to robust Spend Analysis Tools (SAT).

• Clear 'authority to buy' points highlighted, with linkage into an array of existing status reports necessary for business/project continuety, (currently maintained manually).

• Support supply chain team, with directed data scrubbing of existing IFS purchasing fields

• Input/completion of necessary new ERP required purchasing fields, and key standard procurement IFS non-essential fields (Including allocation of product categories)

• Key alignment to and liasion with Horizon team, to ensure MLS delivery of a successful IFS implementation

• Support engineering with data scrubbing of information currently held in our MRP interface, including Procurement fields

• Develop policed methodology (thereafter) to ensure latest procurement spec revisions are maintained

• Creation of clear standard configured parts and products, ensuring use of naming conventions

• Removal/reduction of duplication of parts with different part No.'s


• BA/BS degree and 3 years experience. A masters degree in business or related field is desired.

• Background with an emphasis on data mining and statistical review, forecasting and trend analysis, process reengineering, supply chain metrics, supplier scorecards, and financial cost benefit analyses is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of the supply chain with focus upon Purchasing, Supplier Development, and Cost Management.

• 'Advanced' data manipulation and Excel skills.

Personal Characteristics:

• Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions. Includes a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional project / manufacturing / business unit teams in a dynamic work environment.
