A new and exciting indoor fitness park called AGILITY is opening in York later this year!

One to One Recruitment are recruiting on their behalf for a General Manager to manage and oversee the operational side of the business. AGILITY offers families a safe, fun environment to get fit and exercise together through Obstacle Courses, climbing walls and fitness classes, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities will include:

* Providing overall leadership, supervision and direction.

* Cultivating and maintaining a vibrant team culture that provides exceptional customer service both in The Park and in The Shack restaurant

* Assisting in the development of a Staff Handbook outlining all the policies and procedures to be adhered to, recruiting and training staff, conducting appraisals and 121's

* Assure staffing levels and management coverage is appropriate to meet the needs of the business and maximise customer experience

* Delegating tasks to Supervisors whilst overseeing that targets/deadlines are met to allow for greater responsibilities in certain roles yet still ensuring ultimate accountability for the task

* Scheduling regular meetings with each team to ensure high standards are maintained in all areas and reporting back to the Park Directors on a regular basis giving feedback on staffing levels, highlighting areas of staff training that are required and identifying employee recognition/incentive programs

* Opening and closing the Park - once trained all employees may help or be in charge of opening/closing periods. All employees will ensure that the Park is ready for operation by checking cleanliness, equipment operation, cash levels and daily staff assignments.

* Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists are completed by a designated team member/supervisor.

* Capitalising business opportunities in the market area by delivering Company marketing strategies to drive sales

* Maintaining a strong community presence in York through partnership with the local community and businesses

* Sales - creating annual budgets and targets to help with financial performance by controlling expenses and maintaining systems by having responsibility for inventories, merchandise etc.

The General Manager will be a highly motivated, energetic candidate who will have the ultimate responsibility in the Park; upholding and maintaining a safe environment for all, motivating employees to achieve results and will be a Brand Leader upholding the 4 central pillars of Agility which are Safety, Customer Experience, Fun and Energy.

The successful General Manager will have experience in the following areas:

* Minimum of 3 years management experience in hospitality (theme parks, hotels, restaurants, gyms etc)

* Proven ability to prepare and manage budgets

* Ability to solve problems under pressure whilst maintaining a fun and friendly environment

Salary: £37-40K

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent 40 hours/week operated on a shift basis between 7am and 9pm

Benefits: 25 days plus BH, free parking, pension scheme

Start Date: Sept/October 2019
