Description:
'Experience in contract law, procurement, and IT law. Main duties and responsibilities include: Non-Contentious - working in procurement law, for example framework agreements and contracts. Successful management of complex high value cases. Ability to deal with complex public law cases. Ability to work to deadlines. Provide legal and policy advice to clients. Responsibility for contractual litigation and disputes. Responsibility of procurement law cases. Takes responsibility for own work with substantial degree of autonomy but knowing when to consult and to delegate. Displays an understanding of the resourcing requirements of own cases. Displays an understanding of the context the client operates in. Displays the professional attitude that client and company expect from a member of an organisation with a high reputation. Responds to reasonable client requests including agreeing achievable and realistic actions, timescales etc. Keeps abreast of legal developments and current thinking on related policy issues.'

We are looking for an intellectually capable, highly motivated individual with strong oral and written communication skills. You need to have good self-awareness and a commitment to using feedback to learn and develop as a professional. You must be able to demonstrate Legal Professional Skills at Legal Officer/Grade 7 level.

We are looking for strong procurement law and strong contract law technical legal skills and someone with commercial and procurement experience.

• Sound understanding of procurement law.
• Sound understanding of contract law.
• Reliable legal judgement and appreciation of legal risk.
• The ability to think strategically and creatively, see legal issues in their wider context and advise accordingly.
• Sound analysis, using secure legal research to produce timely and fit for purpose advice.
