Our client is a global manufacturer and distributor of specialist clothing and hard accessories. Established in 1904, they are the fastest growing company within their specialism in the world with a global distribution network and customer service staff in over 130 countries.

POSITION SUMMARY

A Junior Product Manager is responsible for working across the product team on the research, development and specifications for products across various ranges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the senior team in the technical and construction elements of all products falling under their responsibility.
  • Manage the delivery and approval of samples to final sealed sample stage, working with senior members of team.
  • Work to tight deadlines to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Create full technical specifications for all products under their control.
  • Carry out competitor research under supervision.
  • Respond to queries from ASMs & customers.
  • Work with test houses for new product and ongoing testing requirements.
  • Follow up projects with our manufacturing sites.
  • Interact with Product Executive, Product Managers, Design, Marketing, Sales and Quality as required.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and ensure all products are fully compliant with the appropriate legislation.
  • Travelling may be required from time-to-time to work face-to-face with other members of the product team.
  • Perform these and other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:
  • Asssitant Product Development experience within Clothing, Accessories OR Footwear
  • Ideally degree level qualification in product related course
  • Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work very well with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrate clear and accurate verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Be able to manage product development on products from low to high complexity with supervision.
