Location: South Kent Coast (Folkestone, Deal, Dover) or Thanet
Hours: 37.5 per week (8 hour shifts to be worked on a rota between 8am and 10.30pm)
Salary: £20,278 - £22,897 gross per annum
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 9am Monday 5 August

The role: as a Porchlight homelessness coach, you will belong to a team providing life-saving support some of the most vulnerable people in society.

* You will work with people who are sleeping rough, helping them to leave the streets behind and get proper support for any other issues they are facing.

* You will support people living in Porchlight's hostels. This involves help with: overcoming trauma caused by homelessness, accessing benefits, getting back into education and employment, and eventually setting up a new home.

* You will provide advice and guidance for people at risk of homelessness. This might involve support with mental health, managing finances, and providing tenancy advice.

You'll be joining a growing charity that cares about helping people.

This role requires:

* Excellent communication and people skills

* Experience of working with homeless or vulnerable people is preferred (those without experience will still be considered)

* A full driving licence is desirable but will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
