Are you a Production Manager with strong leadership skills, looking for a new position within a Global Manufacturing organisation in Alfreton? As a Production Manager you will lead the shop floor, guiding them with your knowledge and experience. This company are looking for someone enthusiastic who can mentor, motivate and drive the shop floor to achieve their targets. Offering a salary of £45K + Pension + Holidays

This position is critical to ensure the production, quality and sales objectives of the shop floor are met. The purpose of the position is to ensure efficient and effective running of the manufacturing area.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Production Manager role:

Arrange and prioritise work within the department to ensure production, sales targets and delivery dates are met
Manage the team on the shop floor in accordance with HR policies and procedures in terms of attendance, absence, working hours overtime, holidays etc
Liaise with other departments to ensure safe and smooth running of the area
Ensure all employees are fully trained and maintain necessary training records
Attend and conduct meetings as required - daily production meetings, project meetings, performance evaluation, disciplinary meetings etc
Lead by example and ensure proper execution of applicable H&S policies and procedures
Understand and conform to all Quality requirements and to ensure conformity of the team members with these requirements.

As a Production Manager you will have the following:

Experienced Manager from an Engineering Manufacturing background
Experience of managing a team size of approximately 70 people
Ability to deliver results and achieve KPI's in business constraints
Build constructive and effective relationships, using diplomacy and tact
Effectively deal with change, risk and uncertainty
Strong perseverance, pursuing everything with energy, drive and a need to finish
ILM qualification
Strong knowledge of Quality, H&S and Process Improvements
Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain
Commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills
Drive and ambition to help move the business forward
Ability to take ownership of outcomes
