National Account Manager

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £50 + Base salary dependant on experience.

Hours: As business requires

Duration: Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

(Home & Field based)

We are recruiting an account manager for a first class consumables supplier with a head office based in Birmingham. You will be maintaining and managing existing large accounts on a nationwide basis as well as growing accounts through new business. This is a very exciting position and key to our clients future success.

The Role

Your primary objectives will be to increase contribution to overall sales revenue by developing and growing our existing accounts and opening new accounts.

We are looking for a proven Account Manager who enjoys collaborating with a team to achieve set sales targets and built successful working relationship with their accounts.

You would have a great knowledge/understanding of the retail market in the UK. You consider yourself an innovative and creative thinker with proven experience developing new sales strategies for rapid growth. You will bring a passion for driving sales and achieving results, engaging others through your excitement about our clients retail brand and products.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered a strong candidate for the role you will:

* Be confident in identifying quality prospects and developing new business

* Show a track record for building solid business relationships with existing accounts

* Train accounts on products, treatments and promotions

* Assist clients with promotions, events and business building endeavours

* Providing exceptional customer service to both internal & external customers

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Commercial awareness of business and competitors

* Demonstrate competent computer skills

* Be able to work autonomously and report to the Sales Director

* Have excellent personal grooming and presentation

* Have a passion for the retail and supermarket industry

* Training / facilitator Skills

Must Haves

* A valid driver's licence and a reliable motor vehicle

* A 'can do' attitude

* Must be located in the uk and be able to travel to our clients head office in Birmingham

* Be willing to travel as required

* Possess a wealth of contacts within your current employment and have evidence of how you have maintained and grown these accounts.
