We are now recruiting for a Product Manager to join a successful and very well established company based in a beautiful location in St Albans.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with product management experience to really excel and take complete ownership in this newly created role.

Excellent salary of £40-£45K is on offer along with pension and healthcare benefits.

As the Product Manager you will be responsible for the development of existing and all new product collections, managing external suppliers and manufacturers along with maintaining and managing the critical path.

Product Manager responsibilities:

* Accountable for managing the entire product line life-cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities of all product categories.

* Work with design to develop key concepts, promotional strategies and store assortments to ensure that the collection is commercially viable in each market and provides an exciting customer experience.

* Working with creative to manage the existing product line and introducing new products to the range and assist in the creation of catalogues.

* Taking overall responsibility for the success of your product, ensuring new products are launched to market at the correct time.

* Liaising with pricing teams to ensure that the product, price & minimum order quantity is commercially viable to our business and customers.

* Managing budgets.

* Set the target sales per category for each range, based on historical data and market research.

* Recommend and decide product strategy and vision.

* Be responsible for carrying out regular range reviews with the buying and sales teams, followed by an analysis report.

* Meeting regularly with all stakeholders, including product developers, marketing, customer service, finance and company heads to give updates and recommendations regarding product strategy.

* Work with QC to ensure that products meet market testing requirements.

* Communicate directly with the factories/suppliers when developing new product and visit them when required.

* Planning new features and changes to a product.

* Creating timelines and roadmaps for developing the product.

* Attending conferences and events related to a product or sector.

* Creating and overseeing development and project management processes.

* Learning about users and a product's market.

* Researching competitors and similar products. Carrying out competitive shops regularly, communicating price, quality, packaging and license opportunities.
