Store Room/Logistics Coordinator

We are delighted to be delighted to be recruiting for this lovely events/charity based close to Woking/Weybridge. You may be looking to develop a career in events in the long term and if so the opportunity would be here as they love to progress and develop their own valued employees.

In this role you will be an integral part of the event team managing all logistics surrounding each event, to ensure total success on every occasion. You would be wholly responsible for managing stock for events and ensuring the storeroom is well stocked and clean at all times. The key responsibilities in the role include:

• Efficiently managing stock in the store room - using a pallet jack and possibly a stacker
• Ensuring adequate stock is available and transported to venues during events - tents, signage, catering equipment, banners, promotional
material etc
• Maintaining an accurate database of materials and stock and ordering in when needed
• Picking and packing for event and loading event transport
• Managing loss and damage reports and ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use on next occasion
• Managing purchase orders for all stock
• Communicating with suppliers, contractors and a various departments across the business
• Supporting events working alongside the team and contractors on site, taking responsibility for all deliveries and directing crates to
correct location for event. Also setting up any catering facilities required
• Taking responsibility for set up and de-rig at each event
• Working closely with branding teams to ensure branding is allocated effectively during event
• Assisting with all aspects of events planning and logistics as required by the Event Director and team

The right person for this role will need to be able to move stock which may be heavy. You will also be solution focused with good problem solving skills and excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail. You will have a proven ability to manage computerised systems and processes and be able to work collaboratively across a broad team.

Hours of work: 37.5 hour week - 7.5 per day between 8am and 630pm. Any evening or weekend work (generally during event time which is 3 times per year) will be scheduled in advance and time off in lieu will be given
