Reporting into the Financial Accounting Manager, the primary function of the role is to work closely with the business to help improve and deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting information in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing & posting month end journals
  • BS control account reconciliations
  • Management of mailbox requests
  • Travel expenses & Reporting
  • Fixed Assets & Depreciation Management
  • Maintain the Assets Under Construction schedule
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Petty Cash Postings
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.

Standards of Performance/KPIs
  • Ability to get up to speed with the existing processes and development of new processes within the SAP system
  • Support the Financial Accounting Manager to deliver operational finance requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of the main company bank account reconciliation
  • Produce consistently accurate and timely financial information internally and externally
  • Contribution to the internal customer satisfaction performance of the Finance Team.
  • Build and improve the quality and insightfulness of balance sheet reconciliations to be evidenced via senior management feedback.
  • Flexible to take on additional operational/project related tasks on an ad-hoc basis

Person Specification
  • Highly PC literate - particularly Excel & used to dealing with high volume, complex data manipulation
  • Commercially aware in order to understand, support & respond to demands from other parts of the business around financial decision making
  • Organised self-starter with ability to plan & prioritise one's own workload
  • Attention to detail to ensure calculations, system setups, documentation and support for controls are accurate
  • Ability to work independently to deliver results
  • Ability to improve processes driving control and quality improvements
  • Excellent communication and team participation skills
  • Experience of using SAP an advantage
