A charity is opening a brand new store in Old Swan, Liverpool - focusing on fashion and accessories

Your new company
Hays is excited to be working exclusively with a not-for-profit organisation who do an awful lot of good for the communities they're based in. They have a variety of both clothing and furniture stores and a strong online presence. They are now looking for a Store Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of one of their newest stores. The store will be based on Old Swan high-street, will focus on fashion and accessories and be supported by a team of dedicated full-time and volunteer members of staff. As this is a brand new store you can be there from day one and build your own team around you.

Your new role
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the store with the aim of bringing in donations, selling goods, and making the most money you can to support the charity. You will be a role model to your team, responsible for the recruitment and training of paid and volunteer staff. You will work to targets to drive performance and improve sales. The company will give you as much support or autonomy you need to run your store - if you think there's a better way to do things, they'll let you do it! You will have control over your own merchandising, window dressing, staff incentives and other areas. You will be responsible for banking, opening / closing and store admin.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have some team management experience from working in Retail - this doesn't have to have been in the charity sector as training on specific charity elements will be provided. You could be working at Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager level and be looking for a step up, or be an established Store Manager looking for a better work/life balance. Experience in fashion retail preferable. You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car. With any Store Manager role, there will be some weekend and holiday working required with some opening and closing responsibilities, so you will need the flexibility to support this.

You will receive a salary of £18,400.
