The Company

Robert Half are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a large organisation based in Birmingham City Centre on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Your Responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain Sales and Payable ledger raising invoices, data input and management of ledgers
  • Credit control management effective chasing of debts and cash collection forecasting
  • Resolve finance enquiries and disputes in a timely manner
  • Prepare supplier payment runs on a weekly basis
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with month end and annual reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Support Financial Controller with ad hoc finance tasks

Your Profile
  • You have a passion for finance and a desire to progress
  • You have high attention to detail and are able to prioritise well
  • You have strong Excel skills
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You are able to work independently but also as part of a team
  • You have a professional, friendly and positive attitude
  • You have 2-3 years prior experience of working in a busy finance department

The Salary

£29-32k plus holiday pay

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training .
