Our client with a global reach are currently seeking a qualified Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

As the Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant and part of the FP&A team, you will be the link between the UK Finance Team and the Commercial Business Partners. The FP&A team are the source of all analytics and provide valuable data and financial insight to support the Commercial Business Partners and wider teams within the business to make informed operational, strategic decisions to lead the whole business forward.

The FP&A team are responsible for the annual budget process and rolling forecasts, from scheduling through to analytical review and reporting.

Duties:
  • Prepare, review and analyse the financial budget for the UK finance team. Presenting business KPIs alongside budgeted/forecasted results and explaining any significant variances to these.
  • Producing continuous rolling forecasts and carrying out sensitivity analysis and re-forecasting as needed.
  • To prepare clear, precise and well thought out presentations to communicate to the board and wider teams.
  • Identifying past financial trends and their root causes, using this information to aid the leadership team make commercially viable decisions.
  • Proactively drive and provide insightful analysis to support the business and assist with future investment.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Business Partners to assist them with any financial data analysis they should require.
  • Supporting the Commercial Projects team with any data analysis to aid project work.
  • Continuous development of processes to ensure the team works in the most effective way possible.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified FP&A Accountant with proven experience in a similar role. They will have experience with budget management, possess strong communication skills to effectively work cross-function and are comfortable working with large data spreadsheets.
