  • Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, this role will have the purpose of supporting in the provision of quality management information, on a timely basis, in order to best inform senior management within the group structure.
  • This will involve responding to information requests from management, and actively identifying shortcomings in information provided, and developing solutions to negate these.
  • To manage the flow of monthly reporting data through the group reporting software and the consolidation software of the group's equity owners.
  • This role will also include acting as primary accountant for a number of holding companies within the group

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analysis of business unit performance within the group, and preparation of management information to be circulated to senior management and submission to the Group's equity owners
  • Manage the integrity of data within the group reporting tool and ensure this is mirrored in the Group's equity owner's consolidation management system
  • Liaise with and support where required in county accounting teams and individuals to facilitate monthly reporting ensuring that accuracy and group wide comparability is maintained in consolidated reporting
  • Cash flow management
  • Assistance with the preparation of budgets and forecasts including manipulating data to flow through the various reporting platforms
  • Communication with senior group and regional management as required
  • Assist with the calculation of group management recharges
  • Assistance with the year-end audit, and preparation of the financial statements under UK GAAP
  • Assistance with the financial reporting integration of acquisitions
  • Drafting of statutory accounts
  • Accounting systems and processes improvement
  • Manage various recharges throughout the group
  • Various ad hoc queries to support management and wider group requirements

General skills
  • ideally a Qualified accountant (preferably ACCA / ACA)
  • Strong system skills developed through use of a variety of ERP and consolidation systems
  • Effective communicator
  • Strong excel skills
  • Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Resilience and tenacity
