What will I be doing?

We will soon be selecting candidate for the final interview stage of our clients Management Accountant role.

We are seeking a management account to fulfil the duties of our finance function based on the outskirts of Didcot with excellent A34 access.

You will have expertise in all aspects of accounts and ideally, you will have experience working for a non-for-profit sector.

Duties will include

• Prepare monthly management accounts • Assist with budgeting • Bank reconciliations • Preparing and filing VAT returns • Post payroll journals • Perform sales reconciliations • Monitor expenses • General bookkeeping • Debt collection

What skills and experience are required?

Approachable, responsive and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

Essential skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Experience of leading a team while retaining the ability to be hands on
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of delivering presentations at Board level
  • The ability to solve problems and define actions according to available resources
  • Willingness to be flexible on hours where necessary
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards
  • Time management skills and the the ability to meet deadlines while producing accurate outputs
  • IT skills, to include advanced Excel and intermediate Word/PowerPoint
  • Previous financial systems experience, in particular Sage 200

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience within the industry.
  • An enthusiasm for the industry, the outdoor environment and contributing positively to it.
