LIVE ROLE QUALIFIED COST ACCOUNTANT / MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT FOR A BUSINESS IN LANCASTER

Your new company

Your new company is a rapidly growing Manufacturing company near Lancaster who are now currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Accountant reporting directly into FD. This role would suit a hands on accountant, who enjoys working in industry environments, and perhaps someone who is currently thriving in another Manufacturing business / SME environment and is seeking a new challenge, or simply an experienced candidate who would prefer to work closer to home and is willing to work in a number 2 role.

Your new role

Your new role involves production of monthly Management Accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliations, margin analysis and costing. This role would suit a detail orientated finance professional who enjoys working with data and who has a strong interest in costing. This role offers the opportunity to become involved in the wider strategic direction of the business, as you will be working very closely with senior management. Your new role will involve using your analytical skills to ensure the business is acting on price comparisons and so a resourceful mindset is important.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be fully ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or be qualified by experience and have strong costing and management accounts experience, and ideally have strong knowledge of costing systems. The business is going through a period of growth and so they are looking for a highly experienced individual with a commercial outlook, who is able to hit the ground running and add value right away. Excellent communication skills are hugely important, as you will need to develop relationships throughout the organisation. and be a persuasive and influential voice representing the finance function, always ensuring you are selling the finance function to the rest of the business and particularly to other senior managers, the finance team are there to support, inform, and add value to ensure the business is making the right decisions and so the right candidate should be able to communicate this.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a generous salary depending on experience and level of qualifications, £40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum, plus benefits. free on site parking, staff incentives etc. The business has very low staff turnover and value their people, they are proud of the work they do and where they are headed, you could be part of this journey!
