Salary: £78K per annum
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) are seeking an expert in the financial field to provide advice and support for problem solving across the organisation, particularly in the management of resources across the whole of GFSL. Our Financial Controller will have the autonomy to use the whole of the finance team and take full accountability for the management and leadership of the finance function.

GFSL is a Ministry of Justice owned non-profit making company who supply facilities management services to c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Having formed in February 2018, GFSL has prospered in supplying quality services to all of its establishments. With a staff count of 1400 we strive to be the FM employer of choice.

We are looking for an exceptional finance professional with a high level of expertise in their field and have the ability to influence and advise the business on relevant actions to take. The successful Financial Controller must have the ability to confidently represent GFSL with senior external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders.

As a successful candidate you'll be required to have a CCAB or equivalent qualification. In addition to this you must have experience in a similar financial management role and have a detailed understanding of the Public Sector Expenditure framework and Statutory Accounts for a limited company. Your day to day duties will include, but not be limited to overseeing the whole of the Finance Department for GFSL. In addition to this you will oversee the production of monthly management accounts including full variance analysis, managing the process of Annual Report & Accounts production and dealing with all Tax and Financial Compliance issues.

GFSL are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of working within a similar role leading and advising a strategic management team through any accounting or financial issues. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of building strong relationships, working under pressure and understanding operational issues being able to influence the decision making. You will be required to be a strong leader who can develop the finance team and lead them to excellence.
