The role

As a Business Development Manager or Director depending on your experience in the Digital domain, you will be instrumental in shaping our market approach working closely with the CEO and CTO, winning new business to secure growth of our team. You will be joining the business at an exciting time, having the opportunity to shape and grow the business with a particular focus on our digital solutions for behaviour change. You will be responsible for shaping the strategy, delivering sales, as well as growing a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

The role will likely be based in Birkenhead, Wirral, with travel expected throughout the UK. You must be able to drive and have a full UK Licence.

Key elements of the day-to-day doing
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation
  • Research and build relationships with new clients
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/principals
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Attend and present at external customer meetings
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Handle objections and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.

The person
  • You will have a drive and passion for contributing to the growth of the business
  • You will have experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and partners and be able to operate effectively in order to influence decision makers
  • You will have significant business acumen, and a proven ability to develop and win profitable and sustainable business
  • You will be experienced in promoting digital solutions offerings to a market, to include; shaping the approach, marketing the services, developing key and long-lasting client/supplier relationships and managing a pipeline of opportunities
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Self-starter with a drive to succeed and learn, working to and maintaining high quality standards of work against strict deadlines
  • Commercially aware and able to manage and prioritise multiple activities based on their business need, urgency and importance
  • Ability to handle pressure due to aggressive timelines and shifting priorities

·We're looking for someone special, someone who can come in and own the entire area of developing new & existing business and marketing for our digital team

·Your role is to identify clients, pitch relevant case studies, oversee pitches, help the senior team service clients, and maintain relationships with clients moving forwards

·You'll contribute to our growth strategy but will be given plenty of free reign to use your initiative to drive this area of our business forward - so expect to be challenged to come up with your approach to delivering on your objectives.
