Contact Recruitment are acting as an employment business for our National Merchandising Client.

The work is predominantly based in the North West but may include more further afield assignments.

Brief Description

The candidate will demonstrate a good general merchandising skillset and over time will be expected to develop Brand and Sector specific knowledge. Merchandisers are required to successfully implement planograms within set timescales, as directed by the Team Leader or Store Management, either working alone or as part of a team. The candidate will be required to be flexible enough to work unsociable hours, which will include working away from home, in diverse retail environments in stores throughout the UK.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary technical skills, experience and competence to immediately add value to the work of the Company, Team and Clients, and to ensure the timely delivery of delegated tasks and quality services under general supervision only. An appointee must:

·Be able to demonstrate planogram implementation experience.

·Be reliable and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

·Have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

·Be results orientated and client focussed.

·Be able to follow the client's policies, processes and procedures.

·Be able to provide examples of having worked on their own initiative and in teams.

·Communicate effectively with the Team Leader and other colleagues.

·Interact with the wider Retail Team.

·Have good organisational and merchandising technical skills relevant to the role with the ability to problem solve, pay attention to detail and deliver work to a high standard and to tight deadlines.

Desirable Qualities

·Good general level of education.

·At least one year's relevant work experience in a retail environment.

·Ability to read Planograms.

·Merchandising knowledge.

·Ability to work in a pressurised environment.

·Customer Service background.

·Full UK Driving licence (with MOT & Business Insurance if acting as a Designated Driver) - however this is not essential.

Working hours, Pay Rate(s) & Benefits

·Flexible working hours and the pay rate will be negotiable up to £9.00 per hour dependant on your previous experience.

·The working hours are generally when the stores are at there quietest, which is at night. You must be prepared to work regular night shifts.

·If you act as a lead driver for your team you will be entitled to £0.25p per mile & £0.25p per hour to offset your Business Insurance.

·If you travel outside of 1 hour to the site, you will be entitled to stay in a hotel at our cost.

·You will be paid weekly, every Friday.

·The work is all year round, but has peaks and troughs, so full time hours are not guaranteed.

·The more flexible and reliable you are, the more work you will be offered.

·You must have access to a Smart Phone and/or computer.
