Our client, a highly successful award-winning Building Society, are looking for a Product Manager to focus on Mortgages. This role is critical to the future success of the organisation and demands somebody with energy, ideas and the drive to take our member propositions to a new level.

What you'll be doing:

You will support the Product Trading team in delivering against our client's mortgage and savings plan, through continuous delivery of improved product management and propositional change. You will interact with a wide range of areas/departments across the organisation and be able to effectively manage and influence key stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who can deliver both tactical short-term change, as well as longer strategic pieces of work, to enable the trading team to most effectively manage and price product portfolios. You will ideally have experience within the financial services industry and have experience of Product Management/ Development or Product Pricing/Strategy. However a background within other regulated industries will also be considered.

By nature you will be inquisitive- a born problem solver- who is keen to explore a range of options when considering an approach to product management, proposition or task. You will be encouraged to 'own' your projects and manage your workload, which will require somebody who is able to effectively make decisions whilst being part of discovery or delivery teams.

  • The ability to develop clear and impactful written and verbal presentations (supported by robust insight and analysis), making recommendations and influencing decision makers across teams and business areas
  • Strong market knowledge, with good understanding of core market trends, influences, regulatory challenges and competitor knowledge
  • Proven communication skills, with demonstrable proficiency in managing and influencing senior stakeholders at all levels
  • A burning desire to influence our client's strategic roadmap.
  • The ability to think strategically and understand our clients core markets
  • High proficiency in both Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
