You will join a passionate and talented team in an innovative IT company. We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer with proven 2nd line experience at minimum. You will work with our tech-savvy staff to ensure the smooth running of client's IT equipment and the systems they depend on.

The successful candidate will have a broad mix of technical skills, which will include strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Windows Operating Systems , Networking & Security Technology.

Cortec IT provide IT support services to a wide range of SME clients. There is an existing team of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support who provide support across a broad range of customer environments.

The candidate will be self-motivated with a passion for providing excellent IT support services.

While office based the role will also require some visits to customer sites. The work will be a mixture of escalated support requests and project work. Therefore, experience in installation and configuration of hardware/software is required, as well as support skills

Experience Required

The Successful candidate will have experience in;
  • IT Systems administration in a Windows environment. Preferably in a service provider role.
  • Experience in AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO.
  • Systems in place will range from older Windows Server 2008 servers up to Server 2016.
  • Experience in Hyper-V, SME networking including managed switches, VLANs, Gateway routers.
  • Experience in working in a support team.
  • Strong documentation skills and along with experience of dealing with a support tickets system

Experience beneficial (but not required)
  • SQL (MySQL and MSSQL)
  • Linux Operating Systems
  • VOIP/Telephony
