My clients is an established company based in west London. They are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them for 12 month on a Maternity cover contract.

The main duties of the role will include but not be limited to:
  • Maintain accounts documentation and filing correctly for storing/archiving and file invoices paid for each payment run.
  • Post: Open incoming mail and distribute to business.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and monitoring open goods receipt list.
  • Posting supplier invoices / credit notes (service/item) on SAP.
  • Posting customer receipts on SAP.
  • Request and reconcile supplier statements monthly and handle supplier queries as required.
  • Emailing remittance advices and statements as required and/or requested.
  • Processing cheques received - copying and entering in deposit book.
  • Petty cash: Managing daily and reconciling weekly.
  • Accounts receivable credit notes: Creating service credit notes and printing item credit notes. Liaising with other departments to resolve any credit note queries daily.
  • Completing Growth Matrix monthly.
  • To perform Bank Reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts.
  • Calculate and complete return for Intrastat and upload the data onto HMRC website. Calculate VAT return for review within the agreed deadlines.
  • Compile rebate and growth matrix reports.
  • Other duties as delegated from time by the management accountant or any other person designated in their absence.

Experience and Skills Requirements:
  • FMCG experience in an SME (food & beverage industry would be advantageous).
  • Excel up to V-look up and Pivot table level.
  • Knowledge of SAP B1 accounting package is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
