Are you a qualified Primary school teacher seeking a new permanent position for the new academic year beginning in September?

Does the idea of a permanent teaching position within Key Stage 2 sound like the perfect next step for you in your teaching career? Of course it does!

A Primary school situated in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking to appoint a teacher on a full time basis, a position that begins in September.

Ideally, the school would like to appoint on a permanent contract as the new academic year begins. However, they are offering flexibility as they would also consider a teacher on a long term supply basis initially that, if all goes well, would lead to discussions on the position becoming permanent.

There is one vacancy within the school, but, specifically, within either Year 3 or 4 so the school are happy to move other teachers around to accommodate the successful applicant. Why would that teacher not be you?

Benefits of the role are:
  • The opportunity to be considered for a permanent role, in the near future, without the pressure of making a hasty decision
  • Working in a school where excellence is strived for, every day
  • You will be able to 'make a difference' immediately!
  • A school where children have a positive approach to learning
  • The school recognises that it's OK to make mistakes... it's what you do next that really counts
  • Encouragement to take part in 'school life' as you never know where it may lead

Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Adhering to the school's Policies and Procedures
  • Providing pupils with necessary feedback, encouragement and support
  • Meeting with pupils' parents to discuss their academic progress at parents evenings
  • Setting the right example at all times
  • Occasionally, you may supervise pupils during events and projects outside of the classroom such as cultural outings, field trips and excursions
  • Prepare lesson plans and teach pupils in accordance with the national curriculum
  • Marking students' work and offering constructive criticism

Requirements of the candidate:
  • You will need to hold UK QTS or be suitably qualified to teach in UK schools
  • The willingness to teach within Year 3 or Year 4
  • To possess effective classroom management strategies
  • To be open to the possibility of a permanent contract
  • Having a DBS already on the Update Service or the willingness to complete a new DBS application
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
