The key responsibilities of the role are;

Responsible for keeping up to date with clinical systems and other emerging technologies; to be a subject matter expert and provide support and training to the Clinical Systems Team to ensure their skills and knowledge are also maintained.
Contributing to service innovations and development e.g. adapting service delivery to incorporate new courses and materials to support local and national initiatives.
To be responsible for designing Clinical Systems training programmes for relevant NHS staff.
To produce and maintain appropriate Clinical Systems documentation, user manuals and handouts relating to the use of clinical systems and to ensure that this documentation is of a high standard and readily available to all learners at the point of need.
To undertake appropriate evaluation of Clinical Systems training provided, including an assessment of the level of knowledge gained by learners through training and to feedback results to senior management; using these results towards the continual development and improvement to training programmes.
To participate in a range of additional duties and tasks to ensure the provision of an effective and quality service responsive to users' needs including designing and preparing publicity and marketing materials, developing and maintaining content for the department's intranet pages, developing and implementing appropriate administrative systems and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that all delegates are registered, training is scheduled appropriately and reports are available to assist the Clinical Systems training delivery process.
To ensure that appropriate levels of security of training equipment and facilities are maintained at all training locations and that during training programmes a safe and secure environment is maintained.
Transporting and supporting the setting up and configuration of training equipment and materials at various locations. Monitoring that training equipment and systems are fit for purpose and functioning effectively for every training session by the configuration of end user PC's and supporting tools and equipment.
To act as a Registration Authority (RA) Agent, responsible for the issuance and ongoing support of Smartcards to staff in line with the Clinical Systems policies and procedures.
To assist in the implementation and achievement of one or more key projects and targets within the Trust.
To provide advice and guidance to Service Desk Technicians in support of clinical system enquiries, provide second line support to the Service Desk and to assist with the development of the Service Desk Knowledge Base
