A British engineering company who design, develop and manufacture a range of innovative and market leading advanced injection moulded devices, are seeking a Supply Chain Project Engineer to join their supply chain project Engineering team. You will manage engineering projects supply chain requirements, supporting manufacturing, quality and design departments and have experience in supply chain and project management within a manufacturing environment.

Commutable from: Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Towcester, Aylesbury, Oxford, Banbury, Cirencester, Evesham

The Role

As a Supply Chain Project Engineer, you will;

Ensure that new component sourcing solutions are robustly delivered to the supply chain

Provide Design for Manufacture support to R&D ensuring Component/Process designs are not Supplier Specific and Suppliers strategies account for capacity and capability of the product lifecycle quantities.

Manage Supplier/Sub-Contractor led Validation of components/processes ensuring that supplier processes are capable and meet specification.

Conduct Supply Chain Risk-Assessments ensuring low risk suppliers/materials are utilised, Supply Chain is Dual-Sourced where required and appropriate levels of Validation/In-Process Checks/Goods-In inspection are in place.

Work with Manufacturing and Project Managers to ensure that component/process lead-times are managed and assembly validation quantities are available when required.

Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and key internal customers, to ensure a robust bi-directional understanding of needs.

Project Manage change and continuous improvement projects within the supply chain, co-ordinating and monitoring the project activities

Coordinate and conduct Risk Assessments to determine the impact of the Change in the supply Chain on Design, Moulding, Assembly and the End User.

Assess the appropriate level of Validation/Design Verification required to mitigate the Risks identified for the change maintaining compliance to organisational and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System.

The Person

A Supply Chain Project Engineer with;

A Degree Qualification or equivalent in a relevant Technical discipline

Full driving licence and a willingness to travel, including abroad

Experience validation of components/processes in a regulatory-controlled manufacturing environment.

Supplier evaluation, selection and management experience

Project planning and management experience

Purchasing and Supply Chain project delivery experience

Experience of quality management systems
